Leap Frog Fridge Phonics and Words

My 1 1/2 year old daughter is very interested in letters, reading books, and saying new words. She has always been advanced verbally, saying “oh boy” when she was 6 months old and lately coming home from daycare singing parts of the ABC song. Being a teacher, I love any toy that is educational, and Leap Frog products are just that…fun and educational.

At her daycare, they have a few different Leap Frog magnetic toys, but the ones I recently purchased will keep my daughter interested for years. I like toys that grow with the child, instead of outgrow the child in 6 months time. Daycare has both the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet Set and the Leap Frog Fridge Words Magnetic Word Builder. After looking at both in the store, I decided to purchase the Word Builderas it has 3 options to grow with your child. Not to say the Phonics set isn’t good, but the Word Builder has the phonics option, plus a word builder game, and then a word hunt game. They both also have a button to press so your child can hear the ABC song over and over again, which my daughter loves. The Leap Frog Word Builder has fun, catchy songs that make learning letters, their sounds, and what words start with those letters very memorable (you will be singing them too, I guarantee!). I highly recommend either Leap Frog Fridge product for your child.
